Hoping to drop some video/audio files on your iPad and just get to town watching/listening to them? If you use iTunes, that has it’s own set of tools, but you might consider either OPlayer Lite (ad-supported) or OPlayer HD ($4.99) apps on the iPad/iPhone.

Web Interface via computer to upload file(s) to OPlayer Lite or OPlayer HD

OPlayer Lite or OPlayer HD ($4.99) – Disappointed your iPad can’t handle a wide variety of video/audio formats? Want to be able to play a video file on the web? Watch video tutorial.

This app can be use to stream audio and video over HTTP, it can be use to play almost popular video formats like WMV, AVI, MKV, RM, RMVB, XVID, mp4, 3GP and MPG. In addition, easily transfer files from your PC to your iPad as well as it supports FTP Client and SAMBA Client where you can download media files directly to your device. (Source: TomsGuide)

And, you can connect to Dropbox.com or Western Digital Hard Drive WiFi Storage.

If you interact with a wide variety of video/audio formats, want to be able to wireless drop these files onto your iPad from your computer, then OPlayer will certainly work great for you. Working with AVI video files, MP4, m4v formats, I was able to successfully watch videos on OPlayer Lite and, later, OPlayer HD ($4.99). The cost is simply to remove the ads that appear in OPlayer Lite.
