As I continue my journey through M86’s white papers, I’m delighted to find more enlightened perspectives about filtering and how they approach presentation of what some might consider dry data. These notes includes my favorite take-aways from the white papers.
- In late June and early July of 2009, the Crystal Lake School District lost more than $325,000 when a virus infected school district computers, stole banking credentials, and siphoned off funds from the district’s bank accounts. - response to security incidents
- notification of security incidents
- work from home
- assignment of network access privileges
- individual accountability including password management
- intellectual property and safeguarding of protected
