In less time than it takes me to finish typing this blog entry (which some of you will judge to be completely frivolous), my pre-ordered copy of Lugaru 2, known as OverGrowth, will be downloaded and save on my computer in mac and Windows format.
Lugaru captured my son and mine’s attention pretty quickly:
Lugaru (pronounced Loo-GAH-roo) is a third-person action title available for Mac OS, Windows, and Linux. The main character, Turner, is an anthropomorphic rebel bunny rabbit with impressive combat skills. In his quest to find those responsible for slaughtering his village, he uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy involving the corrupt leaders of the rabbit republic and the starving wolves from a nearby den. Turner takes it upon himself to fight against their plot and save his fellow rabbits from slavery.
While the premise sounded pretty funny (come on, a ninja-rabbit?!?), the gameplay is phenomenal and I immediately paid for the game. My son and I both love it and have spent countless hours playing.
For a year now, my son has asked me at least once a week, “Is Lugaru 2 out yet?” And, last week, I was happy to report to him, “They’re accepting pre-orders for the game!!”
Well, off to see what the alpha version of the OverGrowth looks like! I see it’s downloaded completely.
