I’ve noticed that I get mean and cranky when I don’t play video games, especially the shoot-em-up ones. Some of my favorites include first-person “shooters.” I won’t list them here but most of them are “older” games. Since I run UbuntuLinux on my machine at home, I was delighted to discover Cedega. It enables me to run Windows games on my Ubuntu machine. The subscription is inexpensive (around $5 back then) and starting it up only cost $15.

They have an impressive list of certified games that work on Cedega. I’ve actually played 1-2 (my favorites that I managed to pick up at Half-Price Books (I’m cheap)) without issue. Although I let my subscription lapse for awhile, I’m considering signing back up when things slow down…maybe this summer (yeah, right!).
